Greece schedules extensive power cuts for Thursday, June 25
The Greek transmission system operator DEDDIE announced planned electricity interruptions on Thursday 25 June 2026. In Crete, outages will affect several municipalities including Heraklion (areas such as Belvedere, Eri Beach, Star Water Park), Minoa Pediada (villages like Handras, Pouliés, Leuchochóri), Chania (Gala ta), Archanes, Rethymno, Lasithi, Ierapetra and other localities, with time windows ranging from early morning to mid‑afternoon.
In the Attica region, scheduled cuts will impact districts of Elefsina, the Red Reds, and municipalities such as Athens, Acharnes, Ilion, Chaidari, Kallithea, Glyfada, Nea Smyrni and Sarona. Specific road sections and public facilities will lose power between 07:30 a.m. and 04:00 p.m., depending on the area. DEDDIE reminded residents that some lines remain live and to plan accordingly.
