Greece Schedules Power Outages in Halkidiki and Imathia Regions
The electricity distribution operator announced planned power cuts in northern Greece during the first week of August 2026. On Saturday, 1 August, outages will affect parts of the Halkidiki municipality and the town of Eretria, with service suspended between 14:00 and 18:00. Subsequent cuts are scheduled for Sunday, 2 August through Wednesday, 5 August, across the Imathia regional unit, including the municipalities of Naousa, Veria and Alexandria. The interruptions will impact residential homes, businesses, irrigation systems and other infrastructure, and consumers have been advised to protect electrical appliances and adjust their activities accordingly.
The detailed timetable lists specific streets and facilities for each day, such as the Voko 28 multi‑apartment block in Halkidiki, the agricultural areas of the Middle region in Imathia, and several road sections in Veria. The outages are intended to allow construction work on the electricity network.
