Greece Sets 2026 Kindergarten Enrollment Timeline and Announces End-of-Year School Calendar

The Ministry of Digital Governance has opened online applications for public kindergartens for the 2026‑27 school year. Children who will be four years old by 31 December 2025 (born in 2022) may apply between 2 and 23 March 2026; applications submitted after 23 March will be rejected. Parents must use the “First Registration” portal, authenticate with their Taxisnet credentials, and provide required documentation such as proof of residence.

Separately, the Ministry of Education has released the timetable for concluding the 2025‑26 academic year. Primary schools and kindergartens will finish classes on 15 June 2026, when final certificates are issued. Secondary exams run through mid‑June, with the General Lyceum National Exams ending on 8 June, Vocational Lyceum exams on 15 June, and specialist exams between 16‑25 June. Results are expected by 19 June, after which students will begin their summer break.
