Greece starts second July 2026 pension payment wave for 1.7 million retirees

On Friday 26 June 2026 Greece began pre‑payments of July pensions for 1.7 million salaried retirees. The first tranche for 2.6 million non‑salaried retirees was completed on Thursday 25 June 2026.

Payments cover main and supplementary pensions from former IKA‑ETAM, OAAE, OGA, ETAA and other public‑sector funds. The second phase will be disbursed on Monday 29 June 2026 by agencies such as IKA, the public sector, the Armed Forces, NAT, KEAN and utilities, with funds credited to accounts from the afternoon of the preceding working day. The OPEKA fund will also pay pensions of uninsured overtime workers on 30 June 2025.

These disbursements complete the July 2026 pension cycle for the roughly 4.3 million Greek retirees covered by the system.
