Greece: Deadlines for student transfers and housing allowances

The Greek Ministry of Education has announced several key deadlines and procedures for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Students seeking university transfers or relocations must secure their academic service credentials, such as Academic ID and Evodos access, by September 22, 2026. The official circular outlining the electronic application process and specific dates is expected to be released within the week. Notably, 91 specific departments will not allow transfers due to a lack of corresponding programs.

Additionally, a final deadline for student housing allowance applications for the 2025-2026 academic year is set for September 22, 2026. This window is specifically for those who missed the initial application period in July. The allowance amounts range from 1,500 to 2,500 euros, depending on factors such as the student's location of study and whether they reside with another student. Applications must be submitted electronically using TAXISnet credentials.
