Greece to disburse agricultural subsidies through September and October

Greek agricultural aid payments are scheduled for late September and October. A second installment for fertilizer subsidies, totaling approximately 27.5 million euros, is expected to be paid by September 25. This aid covers 15% of the purchase value for invoices issued between July 1 and August 31 for eligible producers.

Additionally, 4.1 million euros in de minimis aid for six regional units—Ilia, Thessaloniki, Kilkis, Pella, Phthiotis, and Florina—is slated for disbursement by September 30. This support provides 20 euros per stremma for irrigated land and 10 euros per stremma for dry land.

Looking ahead to October, further payments are anticipated, including the second installment for agricultural diesel and pre-antichthonic 2025 compensations. Authorities are currently working to resolve pending issues and technical adjustments within the MyAGRO system to ensure efficient distribution. However, challenges remain regarding the mandatory digitization of agricultural plots via the Land Registry, as discrepancies in geospatial data and ownership records continue to cause delays for some producers.
