Greece to Issue Disability Mobility Certificates for 2026
The regional authorities of Western Greece and Epirus announced that the issuance and renewal of Disability Mobility Certificates (Δελτία Μετακίνησης ΑμεΑ) will take place from 1 July to 30 November 2026. The permits are available to persons with a disability rating of 67 % or higher, as well as beneficiaries of disability social benefits, and grant free travel on municipal transport and a 50 % reduced fare on intercity KTEL routes, with the right to a companion where legally required.
Applications can be submitted at local Citizens’ Service Centers (ΚΕΠ) or the respective Public Health and Social Care Directorates. Required documents include a completed application, proof of residence, medical committee opinion or insurance decision confirming the disability level, identity documents, recent photographs and recent tax return statements. The offices in Patras (Western Greece) and Ioannina (Epirus) provided contact numbers and operating hours for public assistance.
Georgios Datsika, Deputy Regional Minister for Social Policy, emphasized: “Equal access to mobility is a fundamental right and a basic condition for the social inclusion of our fellow citizens with disabilities.”
