Greece celebrates 13th Panhellenic School Sports Day

Greece is celebrating the 13th Panhellenic School Sports Day on Friday, September 25, 2026, in coordination with the European School Sport Day. The initiative, organized by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, calls upon all primary and secondary educational institutions to implement athletic activities throughout the school day.

The central theme for this year is ‘Jump towards the Future,’ with the slogan ‘One jump. One Greece. One common dream.’ The program emphasizes personal improvement, health, cooperation, and inclusion rather than competitive performance. Activities may take place within or outside school grounds and can include various sports and physical activities.

To ensure a symbolic nationwide synchronization, the Ministry suggested a central activity at 10:00 AM, though schools may adjust the timing to suit their specific schedules. The Ministry has also invited sports federations to organize introductory events to connect students with various athletic disciplines.
