Greece to upgrade digital services for decentralized administrations

Dimitris Papastergiou, the Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, met with representatives from Greece's seven decentralized administrations to discuss the next steps in their digital transformation. The meeting focused on enhancing the common digital portal, 7ad.gov.gr, to create a unified service point for citizens and businesses.

Key objectives include the simplification and standardization of administrative procedures, the exchange of technical expertise, and the implementation of shared digital solutions. The Ministry of Digital Governance will support the upgrade of the portal, which is intended to host interactive services and act as a platform for digital solutions already developed by the administrations themselves. Many of these existing applications were created using the internal expertise and human resources of the public administration.
