Greece wins top US tourism awards for millennials and families

Greece has received top honors in the United States tourism market, reinforcing its status as a premier destination for American travelers. According to the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the country secured two major awards at the recent ceremony in Chicago.

Greece was named ‘Favorite Country’ for the seventh consecutive year at the 12th annual The Trazees Awards, which focuses on the preferences of millennial travelers. Additionally, it was recognized as the ‘Best Family-Friendly Multigenerational Destination of the Year’ for the fourth year in a row at the 9th annual Wherever Awards, which tracks the travel choices of modern families.

These awards are determined through extensive online voting by thousands of readers of trazeetravel.com and whereverfamily.com, both owned by the American publishing company FXExpress Publications. Konstantinos Charokopos, the head of the GNTO North American office, accepted the awards on behalf of Greece.
