Greece reports series of traffic accidents and criminal arrests

Various criminal and traffic incidents have been reported across Greece. In Athens, a 76-year-old man died after being struck by a car in Agios Anargyroi; the 28-year-old driver was arrested and faces manslaughter charges.

In Agios Dimitrios, a 61-year-old taxi driver was arrested after colliding with a motorcyclist while driving under the influence, recording a high alcohol level of 1.04 mg/l. In Patras, a man was detained for blocking a parking exit while appearing intoxicated and refusing a breathalyzer test.

Other incidents include a 38-year-old man arrested in Kissamos for threatening his brother with a hunting rifle in front of a minor, and a 30-year-old man detained in Rhodes for filming police officers and citizens inside a police station. Additionally, in Nea Erythraia, an 80-year-old driver caused property damage at a local eatery after mistakenly pressing the accelerator instead of the brake while attempting to park.
