Greece U18 Women's Water Polo team defeats Netherlands 22-9

The Greece U18 Women's National Water Polo team defeated the Netherlands 22-9 in the classification match for 5th-8th place at the World Championship held in Tenerife, Spain. Although the Netherlands held a lead for much of the first quarter, the Greek team took control after the ten-minute mark, turning a 5-5 tie into a decisive lead.

Eleven different Greek players scored during the match. Rafaela Saltamanika was named MVP after scoring four goals. Following this victory, Greece will compete for fifth place on Sunday, August 23, against the winner of the Canada-China matchup.
