Greece implements new digital administrative procedures

Various administrative deadlines and new digital procedures are currently active in Greece.

The Ministry of Education has set several deadlines for the 2026 academic year. First-year university students must complete their electronic enrollment by September 4, 2026. Additionally, late registration and transfers for high school students (GEL and EPAL) are open until September 4. A specialized electronic platform is also available until September 7 for candidates affected by the Tempi tragedy to submit a new preference form under favorable regulations.

In employment news, the Hellenic Fire Service has announced a recruitment process for 26 special positions, including pilots and engineers, with applications open until September 11, 2026. Meanwhile, Public Professional Training Institutes (SAEK) are accepting electronic applications for various specialties until September 11.

Regarding property management, the Hellenic Land Registry is launching a new digital process on September 18 via the ‘metavoles’ platform. This initiative aims to resolve errors in cadastral maps, such as incorrect boundaries or areas, by allowing owners to submit correction requests electronically.

In the Crete region, a tender has been opened for the procurement and installation of ICT equipment in schools, with a submission deadline of October 6, 2026, funded by the ESPA program.
