Greece weather forecasts predict snowy winter and hot summer 2027
Weather forecaster Fani Chatzigriva has provided seasonal outlooks based on traditional almanac predictions, suggesting a winter characterized by sharp temperature fluctuations and significant snowfall, particularly in mountainous and semi-mountainous regions of Greece.
The forecast highlights a potential for snowy Christmas and New Year periods, with a notable cold spell expected between December 21–27, 2026. Another intense period of low temperatures and possible snowfall in lowland areas is anticipated between January 23–25, 2027, followed by a strong cold wave at the end of February.
In contrast, the summer of 2027 is expected to be extremely hot. Two prolonged heatwaves are predicted: the first occurring between July 5–25, and a second, potentially more intense and persistent wave between August 7/8–18.
