Greece's 2026 Panhellenic Exams conclude for General Lyceum students

On Monday, 8 June 2026, the final written examinations for General Lyceum (ΓΕΛ) candidates in Greece took place. Students sat for the orientation subjects of History, Physics and Economics, marking the end of the main Panhellenic exams for this level.

The testing schedule continues with special subject exams from 16‑25 June and with EPAL (vocational) exams running through mid‑June. Results are slated for release at the end of June, followed by the publication of university admission bases in late July. The school year will wind down with promotion exams ending 12 June for lyceums, and the final school‑year examinations for lower grades concluding by mid‑June.

Despite recent seismic activity in northern Euboea, local authorities confirmed that the exams proceed without interruption, although some municipal schools and a gymnasium were temporarily closed for safety inspections.
