Greece’s 2026 Panhellenic Exams Proceed with Special Subject Tests

The Ministry of Education announced that the 2026 Panhellenic examinations for General Lyceum (ΓΕΛ) and Vocational Lyceum (ΕΠΑΛ) candidates continue with the special subject tests on June 17 and 18. On Wednesday, June 17, candidates sat the Free Drawing exam, and on Thursday, June 18, the Linear Drawing exam, both essential for entry into architecture, graphic design and related programs. The schedule also lists music theory, foreign language and other subject exams running through the end of June, with health and practical assessments extending to June 26.

Results are expected by the end of June, followed by admission bases (minimum entry scores) projected for late August. The Ministry noted a likely drop in bases for several scientific fields due to the difficulty of certain subjects. Candidates must submit their electronic registration (Μηχανογραφικό Δελτίο) beginning in early July, using a secure password and a step‑by‑step process that includes temporary saving, finalization, and a non‑editable lock. The system automatically filters available university departments based on each applicant’s minimum admission basis and the weighting coefficients set by individual faculties.
