Greece's 2026 Summer Sales Begin July 13

The 2026 Greek summer sales start on Monday 13 July and run through 31 August. Retailers may open optionally on the first Sunday of the period, 19 July, typically from 11:00 to 18:00.

During the sales period businesses must clearly show both the original and reduced price. The reference price is the lowest price recorded in the preceding 30 days (or 10 days for recent items). Displaying a discount percentage (e.g., –30 %) is optional, except when more than 60 % of a shop’s stock is discounted, in which case the percentage must be shown in the window. Outlet and stock stores must erase the old price and present only the new price.

Consumer advice stresses checking the true previous price to avoid artificial price hikes, comparing prices beforehand, using price‑history tools, and keeping receipts for possible returns or replacements.
