Greece's DEDDIE Schedules Power Outages Across Athens and Attica
On Saturday 25 July, the Greek power utility DEDDIE will carry out scheduled electricity interruptions in five municipalities of the Attica region, including central Athens. The outages are required for maintenance, reinforcement and upgrade work on the electricity network.
Affected areas and time slots include the municipal districts of Kifissia, Marousi, and Chalandri with cuts from 07:15 am to 06:00 pm, as well as specific streets in Nea Ionia, Chalandri, Peristeri, and other suburbs where power will be switched off between 08:00 am and 12:00 pm. The schedule lists numerous one‑way streets and intersections where customers should expect temporary loss of electricity.
The purpose of the work is to improve reliability of the grid, and residents are advised to plan accordingly for the temporary service interruptions.
