Greek electricity provider schedules extensive power cuts across multiple regions July 13‑16

The Public Power Corporation (ΔΕΔΔΗΕ) announced planned electricity interruptions in Greece as part of network maintenance, upgrades and construction work.

On Monday 13 July 2026 power will be cut in several areas of Crete – including parts of Heraklion, Chania and Lasithi municipalities – with outage windows ranging from 08:00 to 16:00 depending on the locality. The same day sees interruptions in the Athens region, affecting districts such as Nea Ionia, Glyfada, Kallithea, Marousi and western suburbs, with scheduled times between 08:00 and 18:00.

The outages extend to the municipality of Eordaia in western Macedonia from 12 July through 16 July, impacting the town of Ptolemaida and several irrigation installations. Additional scheduled cuts affect Thessalian communities, including Lechonia, Ampovo, Rigan Feraio and Almyros, between 13 July and 15 July.

ΔΕΔΔΗΕ advises residents to avoid using elevators, to disconnect electrical appliances during the suspensions and to stay clear of power lines for safety. The provider notes that the interruptions may end earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.
