Greece's Vamvakou village launches summer arts, music and comedy program
The non‑profit Vamvakou Revival, supported by a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, has organised a two‑month summer programme in the mountain village of Vamvakou, Greece. In July and August 2026 the schedule includes an Impro Jazz Workshop where musicians improvise live, a Playhouse with the Vamvakou Technology Lab offering digital‑creative activities for children, and evening DJ sets with cocktails under the stars at the village square, Bouriako.
The programme also features an exhibition titled “Stories of Embroidery” by artist Eleni Valasaki, and a stand‑up comedy performance by Alexandros Tsouvelas called “Alien – The Return”. Outdoor activities such as e‑bike rides on the Parnoa trails and family hikes round out the cultural offering, aiming to attract visitors to the region for a fun, creative summer experience.
