Greek Aegean Islands Unveil 2026 Summer Festival Lineup
The Municipality of West Lesvos has released a detailed summer program for 2026, featuring a series of cultural events across the island’s villages. Highlights include the Lesvos Food Fest, Polichnitos Cultural Festival, a Sardine Festival in Skala Kallonis, and international festivals in Molivos and Petra. The schedule also lists concerts by artists such as Marina Spanou, Giannis Kotziras, and Panagiotis Margâris, with five free public concerts forming a "Cultural Panorama" for the municipality.
Across the wider Aegean, several islands are promoting major festivals for the 2024‑2026 season. Astypalaia will host the Tsoula Festival (July 4‑12) with free concerts, film screenings, and talks. Amorgos returns with the Rudu Fest (July 27‑August 2), offering beach parties, DJ sets, and performances by Greek acts. Lesvos will hold the 12th International Molivos Music Festival (August 12‑19), showcasing classical musicians from abroad. Kassandra will present the 11th Beyond Borders documentary festival (August 23‑30), and Kimolos will host an international cinema festival in early September. These events aim to attract tourists and highlight local cultural heritage.
