Greek agricultural declaration system faces technical crisis

Technical and administrative failures within the OSDE 2026 declaration process and the myAGRO platform are causing significant distress among Greek farmers and agricultural professionals. Despite a recent extension to September 25, less than 2% of declarations have been finalized approximately 40 days after the platform's launch.

Issues identified include inaccuracies in land registry data, geospatial mapping errors, and difficulties with cross-referencing public registries such as ATAK and KAEK. These malfunctions create risks regarding the timely and accurate distribution of agricultural subsidies.

Member of Parliament George Gavrilos has filed a formal report regarding these delays, arguing that the state cannot demand strict compliance from producers while providing an unreliable system. Experts warn that errors in these declarations could lead to funding cuts, repayment demands, or the disqualification of beneficiaries from essential agricultural programs.
