Greece extends agricultural subsidy deadlines amid technical issues

Greek authorities have announced several changes and deadline extensions to address technical difficulties facing farmers with the Single Application for Support (EAE) and the new myAGRO platform. The Ministry of Rural Development and Food, in coordination with the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), has extended the deadline for submitting the 2026 EAE for those seeking the October advance payment to September 25. Additionally, the deadline for the transfer of rights has been moved to September 30.

Technical issues involving the Land Registry and the myAGRO platform have caused significant delays and frustration among agricultural producers, leading to concerns regarding the timely disbursement of community subsidies. Government officials, including Vice President Kostis Hatzidakis and MP Maximos Charakopoulos, have met to discuss corrective measures and technical improvements intended to streamline the process and ensure payments reach the correct beneficiaries without further hardship.

In regions where the Land Registry operates, the minimum percentage of geospatial overlap for digitized agricultural plots with declared farmer identification numbers (KAEK) has been set at 55%. Authorities are working to resolve these technical bottlenecks to prevent further disruption to the subsidy cycle.
