Greek apprenticeship program launches private‑sector positions for 2026‑27

Greece is opening the allocation of apprenticeship slots for the post‑secondary “Metalykeiakos Etos – Taxis Mathitias” year 2026‑27. Private‑sector companies can offer positions, bearing only the insurance contributions of the apprentices. The stipend is set at 95 % of the legal minimum wage and is paid by the ESFA (European Social Fund) and the Greek state under the Human Capital and Social Cohesion program. Registration of free slots must be completed online via the e‑Mathiteia platform by 31 August 2026, 23:59.

The Regional Directorate of Secondary Education in Rethymno has specifically invited local businesses to submit positions for EPAL graduates across a wide range of technical specialties, including IT, electronics, mechanical, HVAC, construction, automotive, food technology and various care‑assistant roles. The invitation reiterates the same registration deadline and provides contact details for support.
