Greek ASEP announces 3,265 public‑sector hiring slots for primary and secondary school graduates

The public‑service recruitment authority ASEP has issued recruitment notice 7K/2026 for 3,265 permanent positions intended for graduates of primary (Dimotiko) and lower‑secondary (Gymnasio) schools. The call does not require a high‑school diploma or university degree; eligibility includes holders of a tri‑axial gymnasium certificate, primary‑school diploma, or equivalent qualifications for those who completed compulsory education up to 1980 and are no older than 58. Applications will be submitted electronically through the ASEP portal, with the deadline of 5 August 2026 14:00. Merit points will be awarded for professional experience verified through insurance records.

The recruitment is expected to be published in the Government Gazette after the summer, and the positions will be allocated mainly to municipalities across Greece. By the end of 2026 ASEP plans two further secondary‑education calls, a separate call for 1,800 positions for persons with disabilities covering all four education levels, and the filling of 98 specialist scientific‑staff posts through the second electronic competition.

Other ASEP announcements in the same period include a 6K/2026 call for 315 permanent health‑sector posts (university‑ and technological‑education categories) and a 1K/2026 call for 186 university‑level health positions, both also requiring electronic applications and merit‑based scoring.
