Greek athletes compete at European Championships

Greek athletes faced mixed results at the European Championships in swimming and athletics. In swimming, Anna Dontounaki narrowly missed a medal in the women's 100m butterfly, finishing fourth with a time of 57.10 seconds. Despite missing the bronze by just 0.34 seconds, her performance surpassed the previous Greek national record. Georgia Damasioti also reached the final, finishing eighth with a time of 57.72 seconds.

In athletics, long jumpers Adriana Goga and Natalia Besi failed to qualify for the finals. Besi struggled with unfavorable wind conditions, recording three fouls and failing to register a valid distance. Goga finished 24th with a best jump of 6.27 meters, falling short of the 6.61-meter qualification mark required for the final.
