Greek childcare voucher program opens online applications until Aug 5

From 24 July 2025 the Greek Ministry of Development’s EETAA platform allows all taxpayers to submit electronic applications for the 2026‑2027 childcare voucher scheme. The deadline for applications is 5 August, after which provisional allocation lists will be published by 10 August, objections may be filed 11‑13 August, and final results are expected on 17 August.

The programme, funded with €393 million, covers infants and toddlers in public or private nurseries, creative‑activity centres (KDAP) and specialised centres for children with disabilities. A key change removes income‑test criteria for multichild families with four or more children; other families are assessed against 2025 tax data, with additional documentation required for single‑parent, widowed or disabled‑family households. Over 100 000 applications have already been received, about half of the anticipated total.

Vouchers can be used at participating institutions nationwide, providing full cost coverage for eligible families.
