Greek police bust major drug‑trafficking ring in Glyfada and Voula
Police in the southern suburbs of Athens dismantled an organised criminal network operating in Glyfada and Voula. Six suspects, aged 26‑58, were arrested and charged with forming a criminal organisation, drug trafficking, money‑laundering and weapons offences.
Investigators found 90.38 g of cocaine, 729.8 g of cannabis, €16,605 in cash, a pistol with a magazine and seven rounds, an assault rifle, anabolic steroids, three knives, two axes, two precision electronic scales, 18 mobile phones, two laptops, three tablets and four vehicles used for transporting the substances. The 34‑year‑old suspect acted as the leader, coordinating the group, while a 32‑year‑old woman handled procurement, storage and distribution. The 36‑year‑old member served as a courier. During the raid, the leader attempted to discard drugs from a window to avoid detection. The arrested individuals have prior records for similar offences.
