Greek concerts honor Giannis Spanos and showcase rock icons Kostas Tournas and Dionysis Tsaknis

A tribute concert to the late Greek composer Giannis Spanos was held at the Royal Hall in Patras. Organized by the cultural magazine Patrinorama, the event featured performances by singers Χρυσούλα Στεφανάκη and Δώρος Δημοσθένους, the Youth Orchestra under maestro Σταμάτης Λέκκος, and appearances by local cultural officials. The program celebrated Spanos’s music with a commemorative plaque presented by the Deputy Regional Governor of Western Greece.

Separately, the Stage Ioannina Open Air venue hosted a historic Greek rock concert on 15 July 2026, bringing together two leading figures of the Greek rock scene, Kostas Tournas and Dionysis Tsaknis. The show included new arrangements, guest performances by the band 12 Μοίρες, and a lineup of classic songs from both artists, marking a notable event for the Epirus region’s music calendar.
