Greek drug‑trafficking ring dismantled in Mykonos

Greek police dismantled an organized drug‑trafficking network operating in Mykonos and the Attica region. On the afternoon of 24 June, five male members and a 31‑year‑old woman were arrested. The group, allegedly active since April, ran a hierarchical operation that used a transfer‑van service to move large quantities of cocaine, MDMA, cannabis, ketamine and other substances.

Investigators seized more than two kilograms of cocaine, over 700 g of pink cocaine, 750 g of MDMA, about two kilograms of cannabis, dozens of drug‑infused tablets, ketamine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and related cash—approximately €94,575 and $11,500. The total estimated illegal profit exceeds €700,000. Vehicles, motorcycles, phones and other equipment used to conceal and transport the drugs were also confiscated.

The arrested individuals included a 37‑year‑old Albanian leader who coordinated suppliers and finances, a 39‑year‑old who handled storage and sales, a 38‑year‑old Greek deputy leader, a 25‑year‑old recruiter, and a 38‑year‑old Romanian woman who assisted with storage and surveillance. The bust is expected to disrupt the supply chain serving tourists and locals on the island.
