Greek farmers and agricultural stakeholders are facing significant uncertainty due to technical failures within the OSDE 2026 digital declaration system. Despite the government's presentation of the myAGRO platform as a reform, widespread malfunctions have hindered the submission process. Reports indicate that out of an estimated 600,000 annual applicants, fewer than 500 applications had been finalized at the time of recent reporting.

Technical issues include platform deadlocks, difficulties with electronic leases, and synchronization failures with the Land Registry. These obstacles have created a two-tier payment system: applications finalized by September 15 may receive advance payments by late October, while those submitted between September 16 and October 16 face delays until November 30.

In response, the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) held a technical meeting to address approximately 20 identified issues. Proposed solutions include allowing heirs to submit declarations for deceased producers, accepting handwritten leases to be cross-referenced via the MIDAS registry, and simplifying required documentation. Producers and agricultural unions are calling for an extension of the filing deadline until the end of the year to mitigate the impact of these systemic delays.
