Greek Food Authority Recalls Casa Mania Soup Spoon

The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) has ordered the recall of the Casa Mania deep soup spoon (Item No. 15351) after inspections revealed the product exceeds the permitted migration limit for primary amines, making it non‑compliant with food‑contact material regulations. The spoon, manufactured in China, is imported into Greece by Tsakonas D. Monos K.A.E. and distributed by DeDeman Hellas (formerly Praktiker Hellas).

EFET’s Regional Directorate of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace collected samples, and the General Chemistry Service of the State examined them, confirming the breach. Consumers who have already purchased the spoon are urged to stop using it immediately and to follow retailer instructions for return or replacement. Ongoing checks are being carried out to ensure full market withdrawal.
