Greek government addresses Recovery Fund and IMF package
The Greek government is resuming full operations with a scheduled cabinet meeting to address critical economic and administrative priorities. Key agenda items include the finalization of the Recovery and Resilience Facility, which faces an end-of-August deadline, and the completion of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) package. The Prime Minister is expected to present a long-term strategic plan, with specific focus on economic measures for retirees and self-employed professionals.
In a related development regarding regional funding, the Ministry of Culture confirmed that the expansion and modernization project for the Chios Archaeological Museum has been integrated into the North Aegean 2021-2027 Regional Operational Program. This move ensures the continuity of the project following the conclusion of the Recovery and Resilience Facility deadline. The transition is intended to prevent the loss of resources due to the n+3 rule and provides additional funding for the museum’s permanent exhibition, storage organization, and conservation laboratories.
