Greek government allocates €3.8 million for disaster recovery in Messinia

The Government Committee for State Aid approved a total of €3.8 million to fund infrastructure restoration in four municipalities of the Messinia region – Kalamata (€1 million), Triphylia (€1 million), Messini (€1 million) and Oichalia (€800,000). The funding, announced by Messinia MP Pericles Mantas, is intended to repair critical infrastructure damaged by extreme weather and to improve safety for local residents. The programme is part of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection’s broader disaster‑response plan, overseen by Deputy Minister Kostas Katsafados, who noted that “Το Πρόγραμμα εφαρμόζεται σε ολόκληρη την επικράτεια…”.
