Greek government begins payments for heating‑upgrade voucher programme
The Ministry of Environment and Energy announced that payments have started to suppliers for vouchers redeemed under the "Change Heating System and Water Heater" programme. The first tranche covers more than 6,270 vouchers redeemed in November and December 2025, amounting to €6.29 million including VAT. Payments are transferred directly to the bank accounts (IBAN) provided by the suppliers, with the process set to continue gradually in the order of submission.
The programme aims to lower energy costs for households while boosting turnover for Greek heating and plumbing businesses, supporting the country's broader energy‑efficiency goals.
