Greek government launches price‑comparison platform “Poso Kanei” for shoppers

The Greek government has introduced a digital platform called “Πόσο Κάνει” (Poso Kanei) that allows consumers to compare prices of more than 7,000 products across different supermarket chains in real time. Users can search for items, add them to a digital basket and see the total cost for each retailer, highlighting the cheapest options and current promotions.

The service aims to increase price transparency, help households manage budgets and curb inflationary pressures. Citizens interviewed in Lamia and the director of the Institute of Trade and Services, Charalampos Arachos, expressed cautious optimism about the platform’s potential impact.
