Deputy Regional Health Officer Andreas Toulias led a series of work meetings in Lamia, visiting the General Hospital, the local health centre (EKAB) and the municipality to discuss service improvements and preventive health actions.

Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, accompanied by Deputy Economy Minister Nikos Papathanasiou, inaugurated the renovated emergency department of Mamatzios Hospital in Kozani and the modernised Servia Health Centre. The officials also announced a new oncology wing at the Bodossakeio Hospital in Ptolemaida. All projects are funded by the EU Recovery and Resilience Fund, part of a nationwide programme that has refurbished 93 hospitals and 156 health centres across Greece.

The upgrades aim to enhance primary and secondary care, improve working conditions for medical staff and increase the capacity of regional health services for local populations.
