Greek Minister Akis Skertso promotes price‑transparency platform and cites industrial growth

Minister of State Akis Skertso announced the launch of the digital service posokanei.gov.gr, which lets consumers compare supermarket prices to increase competition and reduce information asymmetry. He accused opposition parties of waging a "ferocious war" and spreading fake news to undermine the tool.

Skertso also highlighted the strengthening of Greece’s manufacturing sector, stating that gross value added from industrial production rose 11.5% between 2019 and 2024 and now represents 15.5% of GDP – the highest share in decades. He noted that the sector’s output now exceeds tourism revenue and that Greece ranks in the EU for rapid gains in manufacturing employment, value added, and overall production.
