Greek Ministry launches PosoKanei platform for real-time price monitoring

The Ministry of Development, led by Takis Theodorikakos, is introducing a new digital platform called PosoKanei to replace the existing e‑katanalotis system. The tool will use artificial intelligence and real‑time market data to provide consumers with up‑to‑date price comparisons for essential goods and to detect unfair commercial practices.

The ministry has invited offers from CIRCANA HELLAS to supply information on the top 10,000 SKUs by volume, a contract valued at €9,300 plus VAT (total €11,532). Funding comes from the 2026 budget, with a total public expenditure of €4,612,800 and an accompanying €4.6 million programme to strengthen the Independent Authority for Market Control and Consumer Protection. The platform will enable AI‑driven analysis to identify violations, categorize complaints, carry out self‑inspections and impose fines, supporting faster, evidence‑based regulatory decisions. The bid deadline is 26 May.
