Greek EETAA launches childcare voucher applications for 2026‑2027

The Electronic Agency for Public Administration (EETAA) opened the online portal on 18 July 2026 for families to apply for vouchers that cover free placement of children in nurseries, preschool‑centres, kindergarten‑type crèches, and Creative Activity Centres (KDAP) for the 2026‑2027 school year. Applications are accepted until 5 August 2026 and are submitted in phases according to the last digit of the applicant’s tax identification number (AFM).

The programme, funded by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family with a budget of €393.5 million, removes income limits for large‑family households, allowing them to receive vouchers regardless of earnings. Eligibility extends to infants, preschool‑age children, school‑age children, adolescents and people with disabilities. Results will be posted in a provisional list on 10 August, objections accepted 11‑13 August, and the final allocation list on 17 August.

Municipalities across Greece, including Deskata, Chania, Kifisia, and others, have announced the start of the process and provided contact details for applicant support.
