Greek Ministry of Culture launches 11 free performances across historic sites

The Ministry of Culture’s "All Greece a Culture 2026" programme will present eleven original productions from 27 July to 2 August. The free events, which require advance reservation through the ministry’s website, will be staged at historic venues across the country, including the Zinzirli Mosque in Serres, the Ancient Corinth archaeological site, the Castle of Kimolos, the Plevrona archaeological area in Messologhi, the Vlahothanasis house in northern Euboea, the Oinades site, the ancient church of Messini, the Petralona cave in Chalkidiki, the Tsiachisapa manor in Kastoria and the ancient theatre of Orkhomenos in Arcadia.

The programme mixes theatre, music, dance, musical theatre, visual arts and productions for children and teenagers. Highlights include the theatrical piece "Battle of Words", the dance work "Breath of Light", the play "The Sea’s Prayer", and a children’s adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s "What Do People Live For?" All performances are offered free of charge to the public, subject to seat reservation.
