Greek DYPΑ Opens Applications for Paid Apprenticeships at 50 Vocational Schools
From Monday 15 June, the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DYPΑ) began accepting online applications for the 2026‑2027 school year for its 50 EPAS apprenticeship schools. Eligible candidates are 15‑29 years old and must hold at least a gymnasium diploma. The two‑year programme combines classroom study with on‑the‑job training in private or public enterprises and provides a weekly wage of €130‑€163, a housing allowance of €240 per month, a meal allowance of €9 per day, insurance, a study grant and deferment of military service.
The EPAS network will offer a wide range of specialties, including aesthetics, silver‑goldsmithing, bakery‑confectionery, pharmacy assistance, nursing assistance, dairy‑cheese production, graphic design, marble processing, hairdressing, construction, cooking, hospitality, carpentry, various technical trades (e.g., electrical, thermal, CNC, logistics, cybersecurity), and others. Applications are submitted through the gov.gr portal using TAXISnet credentials. The programme aims to equip young people with practical skills aligned with market demand.
