Greek Panhellenic Exams 2026 Results Released with Detailed Subject Statistics

On Thursday, 25 June 2026, the Greek Ministry of Education published the scores of the Panhellenic examinations for General (GEL) and Vocational (EPAL) lyceums. About 89 000 candidates competed for 68 788 university places, with 75 109 from GEL and 13 923 from EPAL. The ministry also released detailed statistics. Strong performances were recorded in Modern Greek Language and Literature, Latin, Biology, Physics and the Economic and Informatics groups, while Ancient Greek, History and Mathematics showed the highest percentages of scores below the passing mark of 10. Notably, Physics had a record 30 % of candidates scoring above 18, and Latin saw 22 % achieving 18‑20. Conversely, Ancient Greek and Modern Greek had the lowest rates of top scores (around 1 %).

The results trigger the next phase of the admissions process: candidates can calculate their admission points using the ministry’s online calculator and will soon submit their electronic registration (Mihchanografiko). Final university admission thresholds are expected by the end of July. Individual high‑achievers were highlighted, with several students exceeding 19 000 points and schools such as the Prototype G EL of Mytilene reporting multiple top scores.
