Greek municipalities prepare schools for new academic year

Local authorities in Greece are conducting preparations for the upcoming school year and seasonal changes. In Kefalos, cleaning, mowing, and general maintenance are underway across four school units to ensure they are ready for students and teachers. The Mayor of Kos, Theodoros Nikitaras, and the President of the Kefalos Community, Stefanos Kamateros, have monitored the progress of these works, which include both interior and exterior cleaning.

Simultaneously, in the Municipality of Meteora, specifically in Kalabaka, maintenance and upgrading works are being carried out in schools. In addition to educational preparations, the municipality is focusing on winter readiness by cleaning streams and flood trenches, conducting inspections, and coordinating with Civil Protection to mitigate seasonal risks.
