Greek municipalities unveil extensive August cultural festivals

The Municipality of Aktion Bonitsa announced a detailed programme of cultural and sporting events for August 2026, featuring daily concerts, theatre performances, children's activities, film screenings, book presentations, informational talks and basketball tournaments across the town.

The Municipality of Zakynthos opened August with a rich schedule of music evenings, theatrical productions, traditional customs, stand‑up comedy, concerts and village festivals. Highlights include a performance of the folk ritual “Malliari” on 31 July, a city‑wide musical parade on 1 August, and a staging of Sophocles’ tragedy “Antigone” on 2 August, among many other events aimed at residents and visitors.
