Greek North Aegean region launches €8 million tourism and agri‑processing grant scheme

The North Aegean Region of Greece has opened a new funding programme under the Strategic BAA Chios, Mytilene and OHE Small Islands. The scheme, running from 25 June, targets existing very small, small and medium‑size enterprises that link their activities to tourism or to the second‑stage processing of agricultural products.

Four sub‑actions are funded: tourism‑culture value‑chain development in Chios (€1.5 m), Mytilene (€1.5 m) and the Small Islands (€1 m); and second‑stage agri‑processing in the same three areas with identical budget allocations. Grants cover equipment, buildings, services and indirect costs, with co‑financing rates of 50 % for tourism‑related actions and 70 % for agri‑processing. Eligible projects may receive between €10 000 and €300 000, with a total programme budget of €8 million.

The aim is to strengthen SME competitiveness, create new value chains, and promote the cultural and agricultural assets of the region.
