Greek Panhellenic Exams 2026: Experts advise rest, focused review and steady diet

The 2026 Panhellenic examinations in Greece open on Friday, 29 May for General Lyceum (GEL) students and on Saturday, 30 May for Vocational Lyceum (EPAL) candidates. Career adviser and mathematician Stratos Stratigakis tells candidates that success depends less on intensive last‑minute studying and more on managing time and energy in the final days.

His four key recommendations are: 1. Prioritise sleep and avoid all‑night study, warning that “the most important thing is rest”. 2. Use concentrated, comprehensive revision rather than cramming, stressing that “students should not study late‑night; it exhausts them”. 3. Keep nutrition normal and steer clear of memory‑boosting supplements, noting “we do not take memory enhancers”. 4. Disregard false claims on social media that promise quick gains. Stratigakis advises that the last two‑three days before the exams should focus on symbolic review and maximal physical and mental freshness.
