Greek Panhellenic Exams 2026: Final Day for GEL Candidates
On Monday 8 June 2026 the final orientation exams for General Lyceum (GEL) candidates were held across Greece. Students were tested in History, Physics and Economics, with examinations starting at 08:30 and candidates required to be in the rooms by 08:00. Each subject exam lasted three hours.
The vocational‑track examinations for EPAL students continue through 15 June, covering subjects such as Hygiene, Maritime Law, Organization and Management, and Engine Basics. Specialty examinations (foreign languages, design and music) are scheduled for 16‑25 June. The overall school year concludes in mid‑June, with primary and elementary schools ringing the final bell on 15 June.
These exams determine admission to tertiary education for thousands of Greek students and mark the end of the 2025‑2026 academic calendar.
