Greek Panhellenic Exams 2026: Scoring trends and registration guidance

The 2026 Greek Panhellenic examinations concluded on 8 June with around 80,000 general‑high‑school candidates and 20,000 vocational‑high‑school candidates competing for roughly 68,800 university places and slots in security‑force schools. Early assessments from grading centres indicate that the papers were of moderate difficulty, emphasizing understanding, synthesis and critical thinking over rote memorisation. Scores are expected to be comparable to previous years, with no extreme outliers reported.

Attention is now turning to the computerised registration (Mihchanografiko) process. Candidates must submit their applications by 15 June for specialty subjects, with health exams and practical tests scheduled between 15 and 26 June. The first batch of results is anticipated around 23–24 June, after which the registration window opens in early July and runs for the first half of the month. Educational analyst Giorgos Chatzitegas warned against common mistakes, advising students to rank their preferred programmes in descending order and to complete all available choices without relying on past admission bases.
