Greek PASOK MPs condemn government handling of OPEKEPE scandal

PASOK parliamentarians, including Evangelia Liakouli and Milena Apostolaki, criticised the Greek government's actions in the OPEKEPE case during televised and radio interviews. They argued the affair undermines institutional credibility and called for comprehensive investigations, the formation of a pre‑trial committee, and full transparency, rejecting any political shielding of officials.

The lawmakers also rebuked the Prime Minister’s remarks toward the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, emphasizing the need for evidence‑based accusations. Their comments extended to broader concerns about public spending, high direct assignments, and inefficient use of state resources, urging the government to adopt more equitable and effective policies.
